History
It started with three men.
In 1997 Frank Rickert founded Mechatronik, at first with two partners and quite different plans. The first 190 SL he restored by hand turned everything around: from then on, it was all about classic Mercedes.
Rickert, who as a child took apart anything that could be unscrewed, had learned at AMG how to put it back together better. That idea became the New-Tech Series, and the three-man workshop became a house of more than 40 people.
